What is the resistance measurement process of the Concrete Grounding Inspection Pit?

In the field of power engineering and electrical safety, the Concrete Grounding Inspection Pit plays a vital role. As a core facility for grounding system maintenance and monitoring, it provides a solid foundation for the installation of grounding conductors and provides a convenient channel for regular resistance measurements.

1. Preparation
Before measuring resistance, you need to make adequate preparations. This includes confirming the location of the inspection pit, ensuring that the manhole cover is safely opened and firmly placed aside, preparing the instruments and equipment required for measurement (such as ground resistance tester, connecting wire, grounding rod, etc.), and checking whether these equipment are in good working condition. At the same time, the staff should wear protective equipment to ensure safety during the measurement process.

2. Setting the measurement environment
Resistance measurement has certain requirements for environmental conditions. In the Concrete Grounding Inspection Pit, it should be ensured that the pit is dry and free of water to avoid affecting the measurement results. If there is water in the pit, it should be drained first. Measurements should be avoided on rainy days or in high humidity environments to reduce the impact of environmental factors on the resistance value.

3. Connect the measuring instrument
Correctly connect the ground resistance tester to the connecting wire. One end is connected to the output port of the tester, and the other end is connected to the ground conductor in the well through the connecting wire. During the connection process, ensure that the connection is firm and reliable to avoid measurement errors caused by poor contact. At the same time, the other auxiliary ground rod of the tester needs to be inserted into the soil outside the well to form a complete measurement loop.

4. Perform the measurement
According to the instructions of the tester, start the tester and start measuring. During the measurement process, the tester and the connecting wire should be kept stable to avoid the influence of external interference on the measurement results. The tester will automatically calculate the ground resistance value and display it on the screen. The staff should carefully observe and record the measurement results for subsequent analysis and processing.

5. Result analysis and processing
After completing the measurement, the results should be analyzed and compared with the specified ground resistance value to determine whether the grounding system meets the requirements. If the resistance value is too high or too low, it may indicate that there is a problem with the grounding system and it needs to be repaired and maintained in time. At the same time, the measurement results should also be recorded for future reference and comparison.

Resistance measurement in the Concrete Grounding Inspection Pit is an important means to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the grounding system. By regularly measuring the resistance value, problems in the grounding system can be discovered and solved in a timely manner to prevent electrical accidents and equipment damage caused by poor grounding. Therefore, all relevant units and personnel should attach great importance to resistance measurement, strictly follow the prescribed steps and requirements, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurement results.
